Vintage Early 1990 Chic, Italian made two tone Coco Brown/Golden Straw Hat for Saks Fifth Avenue. This hat is truly stunning with coco brown brim and grosgrain ribbon that matches, giving a contrast to the golden straw crown of hat. The circumference of hat 23″, crown 3 1/2″ and 1″ roll up of brim. Mint Condition. No tears, rips or discoloration.

History of Saks Fifth Avenue: Founded by Andrew Saks in 1867 and incorporated in New York in 1902 as Saks & Company. Saks died on 1912 and in 1923 Saks & Company, merged with Gimbel Brothers, Inc, which was owned by a cousin of Horace Saks and Bernard Gimbel. Their dream was to construct a unique specialty store that would become synonymous with fashionable and gracious living.
