Vintage 1950’s RARE Maison Mendessolle,Jack Feit and JJ O’Donnell Suit. Size 14. But please review measurements.How can you go wrong with those 3 names! This suit is designed in 100% Mandarin Camel Hair. The color of the suit is a Yellowish-Tan. This Rare find is in Mint Condition, Inside and out!The Jacket has a notched collar with 3 perfectly rounded buttons,with 2 flaps above the pockets. Jacket has on each side, two slits that are 2″ and bell shape sleeves with 2″ slits on each side. The picture of jacket that looks like holes are actually indentations from wearing a brooch. The skirt, is more like A-line than pencil.Skirt has 1″ waist band, 7″ metal zipper with hook and eye closure.

This suit is designed in 100% Mandarin Camel Hair. The color of the suit is a Yellowish-Tan. This Rare find is in Mint Condition, Inside and out! Measurements of garments were taken lying flat. Please Double: Jacket; Bust 21″, Waist 21″. Jacket is slightly above hip area. Actual: Shoulder to Shoulder 16″, Sleeve length 18″, Shoulder to hemline 23 1/2″. Please Double: Skirt; Waist 14 1/2″, Hips 19 1/2″. Actual Skirt waist to hemline 26 1/2″.

History: Maison Mendessolle, was a born right here in San Francisco, CA.The shop was located at 339 Powell St., San Francisco, CA. Any findings with this label “Indicates Absolute Top Quality”. Mr. Mendessolle has 6 pieces on display at the DeYoung Museum. He was listed on “Things to Do and See” in San Fran., 1967 by Doctor & Mrs. Barton and A. Brown. Designer Jack Feit was a Suit/Coat producer on 7th Avenue in NY, up until 1960’s. Mr. Jack Feit was an extraordinary designer and tailor in is own right. Textile Designer and designer J.J. O’ Donnell was a suit/coat producer as well.
