Vintage 1960’s Lanvin Shirtwaist dress. The shift style dress features an abstract geometric print in Navy, Red, Pink, White and Light Blue, with a shirt collar, fabric covered six (6) buttons along the bodice and two (2) button’s on each sleeve cuffs. Flaw; dress has belt loops, unfortunately the belt is missing. The dress is in Excellent Vintage condition, no tears or discoloration. A cloth label marks the interior. This is a gorgeous and colorful print, so inline with today’s style. Tag dress size 14 but, please go by measurements listed below that I have provided. No label for fabric content, I believe it is a poly/blend there is no label.

Measurements were taken lying flat; please double: Bust 20 1/2″, Waist 19 1/2″. Hips 21″. Actual: Sleeve length 22 1/2″, Shoulder to hemline 40″.

History: Jeanne Lanvin (1867-1946) Open a millinery shop in Paris in 1890. She became known for the beautiful dresses she was making for her daughter, in 1909, Lanvin opened her dressmaking business. Lanvin died in 1946 and the business was taken over by her daughter, who hired Antonio del Castillo in 1950 to design the collection. During this time, the house became known as Lanvin-Castillo.
