Vintage 1970’s Stunning Floral Print Dress by Roger Milot for Fred Perlberg. This dress radiates spring, summer, perfect for wedding or garden party. This a Size Small. Mannequin I use is size 6 and if you look at picture number 7 that’s why I couldn’t zip up back properly. No filters were used in any of the pictures listed, true colors! Dress print has small to oversize flowers. There are vivid colors of Pink, Mauve, White, Red, Orange and Olive Green. The dress is Silk Chiffon with a silk lining with a 22″ back nylon zipper, has hook and eye closures in the following areas: 1 at neck, 1 middle of back and 3 on back of Olive 2″ cummerbund. The front of dress has a plunging V neckline, 1 row of ruffles, with 2 hooks and eye closures, long sleeves, length 23 1/2″ with ruffle at wrist circumference of wrist 7″. The sweep of dress is 120″. Flaw: Inside of bodice lining has slight yellow tone present even though it has been professionally cleaned. Also lining was coming undone near shoulder areas but has been repaired. Excellent Vintage Condition. No holes, snags or tears. This is truly a very elegant piece and so inline with today fashion. Measurements were taken lying flat; Bust 32″, Waist 22″ Hips 40″, Shoulder to Shoulder 14 1/2″, Sleeve Length 23 1/2″, Shoulder to hemline 49″, Sweep of dress 120″.

History of Fred Perlberg and Roger Milot: Mr. Perlberg was native of New York City, and worked in the garment industry from the time he left high school at the age of 16. At 19, he founded Fred Perlberg Originals, know for moderate-priced dance dresses that young women wore to proms and weddings. His earlier gowns from the late 30’s and early 40’s were used for bridesmaid and rumor has it wedding gowns. His clothes were sold in major stores throughout the United States and Canada. Not much is seen of his earlier work up until about 1935 when he presented the first of his heavy high sheen satin gowns better known as liquid satin. He was named Man of the Year by the fashion industry when he retired in 1968. Roger Milot continued designing for the company and Mr. Perlberg sold the label to Roger Milot in 1970,
