Designer Margaretha Ley for Escada, designed this 1980s pantsuit.  This outfit deserves its own spotlight, don’t you think?

The blouse size 34 and pants size 40 (pants were altered see additional details below) made in Germany.   Featuring a luxurious 100% silk, the blouse top half is cream, with a  dramatic electric bolt design in bright yellow, baby blue and outline in black. The blouse has small shoulder pads, buttons down the front with 5 buttons, 1 button exposed the other 4 are concealed, with 1 button on each cuff. The suit itself looks black and white but, actually it’s cream and black. I provided a close up shot of fabric for viewing, see pictures #3 and #9.

Pants have a 8″ nylon zipper, with 1 button in front, a 2″ waist band with belt loops, side pockets, and a bottom side slit 1 1/2″. The pants are light weight and are not lined. Fabric contents  55% wool, 40% silk and 5% nylon. Please review additional detail information on pants. The condition of pantsuit Excellent Vintage Condition, no tears, hole, snags or discoloration.

Additional detail: The pants were altered. Please view picture #14 which shows alteration. It appears that the back seam was open and was taken-in about 2″ and one belt loop adjusted to accommodate alteration. I would be more than happy to provided any additional pictures upon request. Please review measurements provided below. Garment has been dry cleaned and ready for shipment.
