Step into the elegance of the 1990’s with this vintage Larry Levine cream silk and cotton suit featuring a charming crochet skirt. Crafted from a luxurious blend of 60% silk and 40% cotton, the suit exudes sophistication and style. The jacket boasts a collarless front, with a 1″ back upper collar. The tapered-style jacket front, is accentuated by four covered fabric buttons, loop fasteners with small shoulder pads. Horizontal seams complement the jacket’s design, adding an extra touch of flair.

The crochet-style skirt, lined for comfort, features a delicate 1/4″ silk waistband and a 7″ nylon zipper with a hook-eye closure. A 7 1/2″ slit at the back ensures ease of movement. Despite its age, this suit maintains an excellent vintage condition, with no tears, holes, or discoloration but in picture #3, I have noted a small pen head size stain on lining of jacket only. Garment has been professionally cleaned. Please review the provided measurements for accurate sizing.

History of Larry Levine: Larry Levine (May 10, 1926 – February 9, 2008) emerged as a prominent figure in the fashion industry, leaving an indelible mark. From a humble beginning as a coat manufacturer’s salesman in 1947, Levine’s passion led him to establish Larry Levine Inc. in 1951. His tradition of crafting classic coats and suits garnered widespread recognition, with his brand becoming a fixture in clothing stores across the nation by the mid-1960s.

A visionary, Levine was among the few manufacturers of his time to brand his own name. In 1991, Levine entered a partnership with S. Rothschild, Inc., retaining his role as president. However, in 1996, he amicably severed ties with S. Rothschild while continuing to pioneer women’s outerwear. With 45 years of dedicated design and manufacturing, Larry Levine remains a prominent name in U.S. women’s fashion.
