Vintage 1990’s YL by YAIR, White 2 Piece Pant Suit. This item was retrieved from an owner, whom, I had the pleasure  to uncover some fabulous 1980’s and 1990’s treasure’s. This item is considered Dead Stock as it still retains an original tag. Suit is in Excellent to Mint Condition. Size tag 10, but today’s standards size more inline of a size 8 and/or Medium.  Please refer to measurements that I have provided below.

The suit consists of a Cut-Out Top with a bateau neckline, straps that come together in a V-Shape in the back, followed by a 12″ metal zipper and is fully lined. The Pants have a 1/2″ waistband, 2 front darts,  4 back darts and no pockets.  Pants have a 7″ invisible side zipper, and hook and eye fastener at waist for closure. Pants  tapered at bottom of  leg  and are not lined. The fabric content is 100% cotton and dry clean only. The item has be cleaned and ready for shipping.

Measurements taken lying flat: Please double; Bust 18″, Waist 16″  Actual: Top of strap to hemline 22″, Widest part of (back) strap 2 1/4″ and narrows to 1 3/4″.   Pants: Please double; Waist 14 1/2″, Hips 20″, Ankle width 6 1/2″.  Actual: Length; Waist to hemline 40 1/2″,  Inseam 29 1/2″.

Research Information of : YL/YAIR; Mr. Levy was born in Israel the youngest of six children. By 16, Mr. Levy had started his own fashion business with brother that eventually was picked up by Bloomingdale’s. He created the fashion YL by YAIR, I gather in the 1970’s.  Mr. Levy has gone from a Success in Designing to a Real Estate Mogul.
