Vintage Early 1980; Designer, Oleg Cassini,Black Tie Label. Size 8. But, please refer to measurements provided below. Holiday’s are approaching and this Fabulous Gold Sequin and Beaded, Classic Couture Silk Peplum Vintage Dress is 100% Silk, lining is 100% Rayon. Underneath is layer of silk tulle, which is very soft. The bodice of dress has a Sweetheart Neckline and drenched in Gold Sequins, bugle gold beads and rounded off with a beautiful Peplum. The dress is Absolutely stunning-overall!!! Also a little top heavy from the beautiful intricate bead work. Mint Condition. No lose or missing beads, tears, holes rips, stains or discoloration. The back of dress has a 26″ nylon zipper and two 4″nylon zipper’s at end of the sleeve.

History of Mr. Oleg Cassini (1913-2006). He began designing in 1936. His look was very sexy and at times, flamboyant. But he was best known as the “Couturier to Camelot” and his fashion collaboration with First Lady Jackie Kennedy. That collaboration had a profound impact on the way America women dressed, with the “Jackie O” look coming to mean simple designs with easy fit, straight lines and boxy jackets. One of Oleg Cassini’s last lines was the Platinum Collection made to order based on his 1960’s designs for Mrs. Kennedy.
