Vintage 1980’s Stylish, tailored Tweed & Velvet Cropped Jacket, by Designer Alfred Sung. The Jacket is 100% Wool, has stunning colors of Grey, Rust, Black and Cream. Jacket has those 80’s shoulder pads which give a more broad look, a velvet notched collar, single button closure and velvet flap overlay pockets. Buttons on jacket and flap pockets are a decorative black plastic. Inside of jacket is lined in 100% polyester. You can use this jacket in many ways with slacks, skirts and of course jeans. So you will definitely get a versatility of use. Their was no label on size but, please review measurements that I have provided below.
Measurements for garment were taken lying flat: Please Double: Bust 19″, Waist 17″. Actual Sleeve length 23″, Shoulder to Shoulder 17″, Shoulder to hemline 22″ and Velvet flap cover on pockets 5 1/2″ across top.
History on: Designer Alfred Sung, born: April 26, 1948, in Shanghai, China was named Sung Wang Moon, which meant “a door in the cloud.” When his family moved to British colony of Hong Kong, his father changed his son’s name to Alfred. From an early age he painted, drew and wanted to continue study in this field. His father sent him to Paris, though not to study painting but fashion design at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Sung studied at the Parsons School of Design for a year and worked on Seventh Ave., in New York City for several years. Eventually immigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1972. Were he worked on Spadina Avenue for Lindzon Ltd. Mr. Sung, is a Canadian designer with international following. His designs evinced a classic feeling for line and detail and his clothes were made from high-quality fabrics he himself had been known to design. He has design separates, dresses, evening clothes, jeans and successful Fragrances. Also the founder of Club Monaco, which is a mid to high end casual clothing retailer.
