Vintage Early 1970’s. Psychedelic Palazzo Suit/Set with Flounce Sleeves by Whims of California, in luxurious Cotton is absolutely stunning. Consisting of a sabrina neckline, with V-back 10 1/2″ (length from shoulder to top back button), 4 button closure in back and two 1 1/2″ slits on each side of top. The flounce sleeves, are cut like handkerchief points and lined in yellow polyester. The palazzo style pants have a 3/4″ elastic waistband (excellent condition) and 12 1/2″ wide leg. Size 11-12 listed on tag but, please refer to measurements below that I have provided. No tears, stains or discoloration. Excellent to Mint Condition Vintage.
Measurements were taken lying flat. Please Double: Top; Bust 18 1/2″, Waist 19 1/2″. Actual: Shoulder to Shoulder 16″, Shoulder to hemline 23″, Sleeve length 21″ (shoulder to longest point of sleeve). Please Double: Pant; Waist 13 1/2″ (elastic band), Hips 21 1/2″. Actual: Waist to hemline 39″. Inseam 26″ (crotch to hemline).
History: Whims of California was part of Rough Rider, Inc., of Napa California. It was founded by Julian Weidler in 1936, despite the effects of the great depression. Rough Rider brought in new training and development. I’m still researching and its taking a little longer and I wanted to share this Fabulous piece.
