Vintage 1980’s Bob Mackie; 2 Piece Knit Wear. Mint Vintage Condition. This incredible piece is stunning. Still has original tag attached. Size of Jacket/Medium and Skirt/Large. This garments is a blend of 52% Acrylic, 24% Wool, 22% Rayon and 2% Polyester. The colors are burgundy, black and gold. Timeless piece perfect for fall.The jacket has been outline in a braided cord (beige) which makes the jacket pop. It’s a single button closure with small shoulder pads. The pencil skirt has an elasticized waist band (excellent) with a small slit in back 5 1/2″.
History of Bob Mackie, Perhaps best known achievement was transforming CHER from hippie chick to glam Oscar winning screen goddess. Mackie soon began creating clothing for divas that would make him a household name, Carol Burnett, Diana Ross and course CHER to name a few. He started his ready to wear line in 1982. Mackie presented is last runway show in 1992, when his business folded. He currently designs and sells clothes under the Bob Mackie name for home shopping network QVC. But ladies, he truly has some beautiful pieces out their if you can find them. And I just stumbled onto this one.
