Vtg 80s All That Jazz by Chorus Line Company, Adorable sleeveless style Sheath Dress in black & white checkered with an amazing flower bouquet and splash of fruit. A very fun and summer dress. The fiber content of dress is 100% Rayon. Size stated is 11/12. But, please go by the measurements that are provided below. The dress has a 17″ back zipper, with 2 elongated darts located in front and back. Excellent Vintage Condition. No stains, tears, rips or discoloration.
Measurements of garment were taken lying flat. Please Double: Bust 18″, Waist 16″ and Hips 19″. Actual: Length of dress is 33 1/2″and 3 1/2″ slit in the back.
History: Chorus line Company was founded in 1975 by three men in Southern California. Barry Sacks, Mark Steinman and Jay Balaban, three Los Angeles based businessmen who came up with the company’s name after realizing their wives all shared a mutual love of dance. This was one of the most successful moderately priced apparel companies in the United States. Despite being established during a time in which the retail industry was far from stable. The company’s most visible and successful line, a juniors brand called All That Jazz. Its focus was on women in their 20’s and 30’s during the 80s and 90s. An article appeared in Los Angeles Business Journal, Chorus Line was one of the very best apparel companies in the business, that article was around 1999/2000. Chorus Line is still very much around with over 30 plus years in the business.
