1980s Vintage Oleg Cassini beautiful Beaded Mosaic silk dress; the backdrop for this exquisite dress is in black 100% silk and fully lined in 100% Rayon. The mosaic pattern design of the dress, consist of the same multi colors as the bugle beads. The mosaic multi colors are purple, teal, green, red, yellowish gold, brown and each are outlined with black bugle beads. The dress has shoulder pads, with a front V neckline which is drenched in black bugle beads, as well as the end of sleeves. The dress is slightly above the knee. The back of dress has a 19 1/2 “nylon zipper with hook and eye closure at top and a 5 1/2” kick pleat. I did not find any missing beads. Dress tag size list 8, by todays standards I would list as a size 6, but please refer to the measurements which are provided below. Excellent Vintage Condition.

History of Oleg Cassini (1913-2006): He started designing in 1936. His look was very sexy and at time, flamboyant. He was best known as the “Couturier to Camelot” and his fashion collaboration with First Lady Jackie Kennedy. That collaboration had a profound impact on the way American women dress, with the “Jackie O” look coming to mean simple designs with easy fit, straight lines, boxy jackets. One of Oleg Cassini’s last lines was the Platinum Collection made to order, based on designs of 1960 for Mrs. Kennedy.
