History of Louboutin: Christian Louboutin born 1963 in Paris, France. Is a French fashion designer whose high-end stiletto footwear incorporates shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his signature. Initially a freelance designer for fashion houses, he started his own shoe salon in Paris, with his shoes finding favor with celebrity clientele. He was further inspired by a book of Roger Vivier’s designs given to him by a friend. Vivier designed shoes for Dior in the 1950s.  Louboutin became a household name in the 1990s after Princess Caroline of Monaco fell for one of his first solo creations.
